i was bord so i was checkin myspaces, and my guy friend (Bob) which isn't his real name. well i was looking at his profile and he had this guy on his top friend list, i clicked on the guy and i saw these comments that he left, they said things like i love u, and stuff like that. then i went to the guys pics and Bob commented them on how he thought he was hott. then i called my friend b/c she likes Bob alot, and she talked to him, after she was done talking 2 him, Bob deleted the guy from the friends list, and he deleted the pic comments.

they might have been joking around. my brothers often with tell a guy "he's hot" just to mess with him. They get really silly sometimes. And they are all happily married to great women and completely straight.

The important thing here is - how would you feel if he was? would you still be his friend? If the answer's no then you haven't chosen to be his friend for his personality and how well you get along, you're his friend only for selfish reasons (for example if he's got a car and you don't)

If the answer is yes, you would still be his friend, then good for you. But if you would still accept him then I would let it go and not even worry about it. If he is or isn't that's his choice. It's a good possibility, that he is attracted to other men, and thought myspace would be a safe place to meet other guys discreetly. It wasn't very nice to call a friend and point out that he must be gay because of something he had on myspace, because now she has apparently 'accused' him of it as well. All it's done is caused him to feel shame, as evidenced by him taking down the references to the guy. He isn't going to be your friend much longer if you cause him to feel uncomfortable, instead of being supportive.

You could have simply agreed with him, that yeah, that guy IS pretty hot, and left it at that, without making him feel bad abut himself. If he felt comfortable with you as a friend, perhaps at that point he might have said that he's into guys. But now he'll feel like you are judging him.

Both you and your lady friend should have ignored what you saw altogether. You embarrassed Bob. He might not have meant anything sexual towards this other guy whatsoever. And even if he did mean something, it was none of your business.

When you are adolescents, you have to be very careful how you treat a friend's blossoming sexuality. Bob needs no labels right now. Never mention what you saw again. Adult lives have been ruined by how people were treated in adolescence.
